Where should I eat? Let Tasted pick.
Help choosing a restaurant, without the endless scrolling. Tasted is a restaurant picker that suggests one place a day from every place to eat in your city you haven't been to yet — and when it isn't the one, you swipe to the next.
Pick a place to eatHow it works
One pick, labelled for the meal
Every day Tasted picks one place you haven't tried, labelled for breakfast, brunch, lunch or dinner. It stays the same all day, so you can come back to it.
Swipe to browse, save the maybes
Not feeling it? Swipe left for the next place. Swipe right to put it on a shortlist of up to ten while you keep looking.
Press Let's go to decide
When one looks right, press Let's go and get directions in Google Maps, Apple Maps or Waze. Changed your mind? Choose again.
Open, and close by
A place is checked with Google before it's suggested, so you aren't sent to a restaurant that has closed down. With Nearby Mode on, places near you come first.
Questions
- Is it a random restaurant picker?
- Not quite. A random generator gives a different answer every time you ask. Tasted gives you one steady pick a day, drawn from the places you haven't been, so over time it takes you across the whole city. You can still swipe through as many others as you like.
- Can I skip cafés, bars or fast food?
- Yes. In Settings you choose which kinds of places the pick can suggest. Cafés, bakeries, bars and fast food start switched off, and every place stays on your checklist either way.
- What happens after I've been?
- Mark it as visited and it's ticked off your checklist. If bakeries or cafés are switched on, Tasted can suggest somewhere nearby for dessert.
- Is Tasted free?
- Yes. There's nothing to buy, and you don't need an account to start.
